About Ubeda

The small hamlet of Ubeda is set within a landscape of rustic olive and almond groves and vineyards and is surrounded by rolling hills and mountains
The core of the hamlet lies between the road Culebrón to Paredón just a ten minute drive from Pinoso and approximately 45 minutes from the coast and Alicante Airport
The nearest main hospital and mainline train station and access to the A31 motorway are approximately 20-25 minutes away
Ubeda shares with the nearby hamlets Paredón and Lel, the existence of cucos, stone built shelters for the workers to rest during the heat of the day
In the center of the village there is the chapel of Santa Bárbara, founded in 1696 according to the inscription on its facade stands and reputed to be the oldest church in the municipality of Pinoso.
There is also a Casa Rural in the village that hosts regular events and a bread man delivers fresh bread daily. Ubeda is well-known for its numerous enjoyable fiestas with good food, music and wine throughout the year which are attended by hundreds of locals and visitors alike
