The town of Pinoso nestles in mountainous countryside covered in pine groves – hence its name. 450 metres above sea level, Pinoso is a thriving and prosperous town of just over 7000 residents. It’s famous for cultivating the Monastrell grape which thrives in the white limey soil of the vineyards you will see everywhere.
As well as wine, Pinoso is a source of rock salt, which is drawn from a local mountain and sent to nearby Torrevieja for processing.
Pinoso’s most important economic product however is marble. The Alicante province produces over 25% of the total marble production of Spain and Pinoso produces over 97% of this amount, making the town prosperous. The town has widely invested in the infrastructure of its environment and the area’s population enjoy not only a clean, well-lit and well policed environment, but also very safe and secure place to live excellent facilities
Pinoso is serviced by the two main airports of Alicante and San Javier and Benidorm and the coastline of the costa Blanca are within easy reach
